Cooking With Friends: Edition 1 – Mushroompalooza!

Join my friend Anile and I make a smorgasbord of beautiful mushroom dishes. We used a variety of of cooking methods and ingredients for smoking our food on a charcoal grill and cooking over and open fire. Mushroompalooza, I love cooking outdoors!

– Cedar smoked local foraged oyster mushroom stew. This is a vegan version inspired by the “Sister’s Stew” from the Game of Thrones (Full recipe can be found here: http://www.feastofstarlight.com/game-of-thrones-sisters-stew/ .. and I forgot the rutabaga lol)
– Cedar and seaweed smoked shiitake mushrooms with an Asian inspired marinade served on miso buttered toast.
– Stuffed garlic buttered and cream cheese Crimini mushrooms and Italian herb marinated portobello smoked with cedar and rosemary.
– Roasted squash seasoned with oil and salt and marinated tofu cooked over a campfire.

This entire meal was made from local Whidbey Island ingredients and is 100% vegan and made with love. No recipes here, just fun cooking with friends!
